‘Fauda’ star Tsahi Halevi will soon visit India. It will be the first visit of any actor in India from the successful Netflix series. The series garnered rave reviews and devoted fans. Tsahi Halevi played the role of Noar in the series and was part of the elite Mista’arvim unit. Halevi is also a famous singer with his song “Tamali maak”, which creates ripples around the world. He was even adapted in Bollywood.
The visit comes at a time when the involvement of the Indo-Israeli people was a key part of the ongoing program. This year, India and Israel are celebrating 30 years since formal ties. Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett was scheduled to visit India in the first week of April, but the visit was postponed because of COVID-19 infection. The visit is expected to take place later this year.
India and Israel established full diplomatic relations on January 29, 1992, and a commemorative logo was introduced earlier this year. The logo contains the Star of David and the Ashoka Chakra and forms the number 30 depicting the 30th anniversary of bilateral relations. In February, iconic buildings in India and Israel were illuminated in India and Israel – the India Gate in Mumbai, Teen Murti Haifa Chowk in Delhi and Masada Fortress in Israel were illuminated in Indian and Israeli colors.
