It was a proud moment for India, as two of its artists won the 2022 Grammy Awards Sunday night in Las Vegas.
Indian-American singer Falguni Shah won the Grammy Award for Best Children’s Music Album for ‘A Colorful World’, while Indian composer Ricky Kej won his second Grammy. Kej won the Best New Age album together with rock legend Stewart Copeland.
Both artists shared their happiness on their social media sites. Falguni, who performs under the name Falu, shared a photo of her posing with a Grammy trophy on Instagram and wrote: “I have no words to describe today’s magic. and then take home the statue on behalf of all the incredible people who worked on the Colorful World. We are humble and thank the Recording Academy for this tremendous recognition. THANK YOU. “

Falguni released a solo album of the same name in 2007, in which folk elements from all over Southeast Asia are mixed with Western music. She even performed and collaborated with music master AR Rahman.
She is reportedly the only Indian woman to be twice nominated for Best Children’s Music Album.
While it was the first Grammy for Falla, it was the second Grammy Award for Ricky Keje. The US-born composer now lives in Bengaluru and was a frequent collaborator of Stewart Copeland.
Ricky Kej shared a few BTS photos on his Instagram as he prepared for Sunday’s ceremony.
The composer has won more than 100 awards in more than 20 countries around the world. He received his first Grammy Award for his album “Winds of Samsara” in 2015.
