Opus magnum SS Rajamouli The RRR received a unanimous thumbs up from viewers and film critics. The film with Jr NTR and Ram Charan in the lead roles has already brought a ‘tsunami’ at the box office. According to business analyst Taran Adarsh, the film broke the previous record in its biggest premiere day (set by Rajamouli Baahubali: Conclusion) and earned Rs 223 million worldwide on the first day of release. In India, the film earned Rs 156 million and added another Rs 42 million from the US and Canada. Compared, Baahubali 2 had a crazye Rs 217 crore worldwide on opening day.
Rajamouli thanked viewers on Twitter for their “stormy” response to the film.

Prior to the film’s release, film producer and business analyst Girish Johar predicted a spectacular start to the film at the cash register. He told indianexpress.com: “I expect about Rs 150 million rough opening from all languages, all formats, in India alone.”
Indian Express film critic Shubhra Gupta gave the film a 3.5-star rating. In her review, she wrote: “The film does not only feature one superstar, but two of them – Jr NTR and Ram Charan. The biggest superstar of all is the SS Rajamouli, and the audience has saved even the loudest ‘taalis’ for him. “
