Agent Vinod Sriram Raghavan ended 10 years since its release today. While the film did not gain general acclaim, its music, composed by Pritam, was a hit. One of the songs that remains special is ‘Dil Mera Muft Ka’, in which Kareena Kapoor Khan tried the mujra for the first time. A song sung by Nandini Shrikar and written by Neelesh Misra, choreographed by the late legendary Saroj Khan.
Filming the video on YouTube shows Kareena dancing to the rhythms of Saroj Khan. The choreographer talked about the fact that the dance number is the only one of its kind in Kareen’s career. As the video continues, we see that Saroj Khan is an absolute task. In one of the shots, Saroj Khan interrupted the rehearsals and asked Kareena and Mary Zakaria to have an energy drink. “Dono ki dono ko Electrol paani pilao. Taakat kamm hai dono mein, “says Saroj Khan in the video. At the end, we see Kareena taking a blessing from a National Award-winning choreographer.
Years later, when Kareena and Saroj Khan met to shoot a dance reality show, the actress talked about her experience with the choreography of the legendary choreographer. Kareena revealed how afraid Saroj Khan was, and remembered the time she had once said to her, “And Ladki, comrade hila … Raat ke ek baj rahe hain, kya kar rahi hai?”
“She told me ‘if you can’t move your arms and legs, you have to dance with your face.'” She once asked me to watch her closely and watch her face as she performed the whole song with her expressions. That is why every heroine became a heroine today only thanks to Master Ji, “Kareena said in a statement.
Saroj Khan died in 2020 of cardiac arrest. Remembering her, Kareena said she had learned to “enjoy dancing and smiling with her eyes.” She closed the post by talking about how no one but she could ever be. “Dance and expression can never be the same for us actors and for everyone who loved her,” she wrote.
Agent Vinod released three years after Kurbaan. Both films starred Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan. Agent Vinoda also produced Saif Ali Khan.
