Laughter is said to be the medicine of the soul, and perhaps that is why World Laughter Day is celebrated every year to raise awareness of the healing effects of laughter.
To celebrate the bright side of life on this special day, the Zee Theater brings you two tumultuous entertainers; ‘The Relationship Agreement’ and ‘Piya Behrupiya.’ Although they differ in tonality, they have one thing in common. Their comedic plots are full of funny lines, unforgettable characters and lots of joy.
Overview:
Relationship agreement
This telehra is a humorous concept of modern relationships and shows the futility of attempts at micromanagement of love. On the one hand, it is a young couple writing a relationship contract to avoid the pitfalls of love, and on the other hand, it is their parents who meet on social networks and initiate a free dating life. What happens when these two views clash is what makes the game a healthy entertainer. The teleplay stars Sumona Chakravarta, Sajeel Parakh, Darius Shroff and Pheroza Mody and is directed by Meherzad Patel. It will be screened at the TataPlay Theater.
Piya Behrupiya
The musical entertainer of director Atula Kumar is guaranteed to evoke a hearty laugh with his numerous storylines, wrong identities and a lot of comic twists. This adaptation of Shakespeare’s timeless comedy ‘Twelfth Night’ has been featured many times in India and abroad. It is now considered a modern classic thanks to its striking fusion music and ever-green love story, where Duke Orsino longs for Olivia, Olivia longs for Cesario and Cesario, who is actually Viola in men’s disguise, wants to win over the Duke! The teleplay stars Geetanjali Kulkarni, Amitosh Nagpal, Sagar Deshmukh, Mansi Multani, Mantra Mugdh, Gagan Riar, Neha Saraf, Trupti Khamkar and Saurabh Nayar. The teleplay version of ‘Piya Behrupia’ is directed by Swapna Waghmare Joshi and will be screened on Dish and D2H Rangmanch Active and Airtel Spotlight.
