The legendary filmmaker Satyajit Ray was born on May 2, 1921 and is widely recognized for his works such as Big City, Apu Trilogy, Music Room, and Charulata. To celebrate Satyajit Ray’s life and work on his birth anniversary this year, the National Museum of Indian Cinematography has held a three-day film festival.

The Satyajit Ray Film Festival will take place from May 2 to May 4. The event is organized by the National Museum of Indian Cinema in collaboration with the National Film Development Corporation, the Films Division, the National Film Archives of India and Doordarshan. It will start with a red carpet and the inauguration of the Satyajit Ray semi-permanent gallery by filmmaker Shyam Benegal on May 2.
