Singer-songwriter Raghu Dixit is also set to perform his music at the upcoming film festival. He recently revealed what he was aiming for and how he would show Indian culture at the festival.

Lead singer Raghu Dixit from the popular band The Raghu Dixit Project is ready to perform at the Cannes Film Festival 2022. The singer recently spoke with the Hindustan Times and revealed that he is currently awaiting a visa. He joked that he did not want to announce his performance at the film festival until he received a visa. He also revealed that he had not heard the dates of the visa interview and mentioned that if his visa came, he would fly to France for a “special show”.

He added: “My life has taught me lessons that we don’t celebrate before and that we shouldn’t count chickens before hatching, so I’m waiting for the eggs to hatch.” However, the singer is already ready for his performance on May 21. Dixit revealed that his entire band will not make it to the festival and only five out of nine members will fly to France.

Raghu Dixit reveals his idea for the festival

Raghu Dixit is known for presenting a mixture of Indian music with a touch of humor in his songs. He made a name for himself around the world in the same way. He performed with his band at the British Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in 2012. In 2015, he performed with Cold Play lead singer Chris Martin in Delhi. Speaking of Cannes, the singer mentioned that he intended to take India to the festival. He said: “The goal is to tell stories from India that our songs naturally carry. All our Kannadas are very full of philosophy. And when it comes to India, we are the first destination for spirituality and such. And our songs have it.” So I want to give them a good time and make them dance. ”

“I really want everyone to have a good time and make them sing. Maybe we can make the French sing in Kannada with us,” he added.
