Ever since Vikram was announced, fans have been waiting patiently to see director Lokesh Kanagarai. Now is the day and the trailer will not disappoint as expected. With the stellar cast of Kamal Haasan, Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil, a large fireworks display can be expected on the screen.
The trailer begins with Kamala Haasan’s voice-over. It tells the story of how in the jungle, nature decides who will survive and see a new dawn. In the real world, however, the concrete jungle decides who will live on. When Kamal tells the story, we meet the characters of Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadha Faasil. Fahadh plays a character who doesn’t follow ‘rules and regulations’, while Vijay is a bloodthirsty local bastard. And in the midst of all the bloodshed comes Kamal’s mysterious man, who is very happy and demonstrates his deadly fighting skills from hand to hand.
The trailer promises a perfect action film with a confrontation between Kamal, Fahadha and Vijay. So who will come out as the winner?
Earlier this year, the creators of Vikram shared a trailer for the film, which introduced the audience to the character of Kamal Haasan. In the trailer we saw a Tamil superstar with weapons, knives and axes. Even though we missed the action in the clip, it still had an impact.
Vikram means a huge leap for director Lokesh Kanagaraj, who has previously brought hits such as Maanagaram (2017), Kaithi (2019) and Master (2021). Lokesh directed and wrote the lead role for Kamal Haasan.
Vikram is funded by Kamal Haasan Raaj Kamal Films International’s production banner. Kalidas Jayaram, Narain, Antony Varghese and Arjun Das also play the lead roles. The film will appear on the screens on June 3, 2022.
