Anek from Ayushmann Khurran continues to try to impress the box office. After a bad opening of only around Rs 1.75 million, the film showed modest growth on Saturday, but not enough, according to Box Office India. Anubhav Sinha’s collections were “terrible” because Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 continued to dominate and collected 5-6 times more in Gujarat and other districts.
Anek had one of the lowest openings in 2022, along with Badhaai Do and Dhaakad. But there is little relief because he did a little better than Dhaakad, where Kangana Ranaut played as a spy. Dhaakad was by the 8th day to sell only 20 tickets and earn 4420 Rs.
Anek revolves around the conflicts in the Northeast, but critics claim that the film failed to fully immerse itself in the political context and remained on the surface. This is probably the lowest that Ayushmann Khurrana has earned in recent years. Actors who introduced hits such as Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan, Bala, Dream Girl or Badhaai Ho in the pre-pandemic era failed to attract cinemas in the post-pandemic era. His latest recording, Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui, which hit theaters in December 2021, also managed to hit only Rs 3.75 million on launch day.

Anek received a mixed response from film critics. Indian Express’s Shubhra Gupta gave the film a 2.5-star rating. In her review, she wrote: “Ayushmann Khurrana and the film remain wavy and make sure they stay on one side in the middle of the moment, but also on the rope. Anubhav Sinha will dip his thumb into relatively unexplored territory with mixed results. “
