Raksha Bandhan: Akshay Kumar-Bhumi Pednekar in the lead role Raksha Bandhan it touches yet another social evil that exists as a dowry today. Akshay plays a Chandni Chowk simpleton directed by Anand L Rai, who worries about arranging dowry money for her four unmarried younger sisters. Akshay and Bhumi previously worked in Toilet – Ek Prem Katha who dealt with the issue of open defecation due to the absence of toilets in remote villages. Akshay replied when asked the same question regarding the dowry question in Raksha Bandhan. Raksha Bandhan offers a solution for dowry
Akshay was asked to raise the serious social problem of dowry that still prevails in our country, even though he was prescribed a crime by a court. Akshay answered the question of how dowry would manifest itself as a social evil Raksha Bandhan. Akshay said: “If you see what movies I’ve made over the years, I always make sure that my film doesn’t just show a problem. My movies also offer a solution to this problem. Akshay was also asked about his screenplay selection criteria when selecting films belonging to different genres. Akshay said he always believes in playing the versatile characters in every movie. Akshay said: “I have always worked in films of various genres. People have long thought of me that I can only make action movies. My idea was created as an action star. It took me a long time to break that picture. I had to work hard to convince the creators that I could do genres other than action. ”
Raksha Bandhan also starring Sadia Khateeb, Deepika Khanna, Smrithi Srikanth and Sahejmeen Kaur in key characters as the Akshay Kumara sisters. Seema Pahwa, known for her comic book timing spot, also appears in the trailer.
