Vikrant Rona star Kichcha Sudeep received a “huge surprise” from former Indian cricket team captain Kapil Deva. The actor who performed the Kannada version of Ranveer Singh’s sports drama 83was presented with an iconic bat signed by all the players of the Indian cricket team from 1983, which won the world championship.

By publishing a picture of the reminder on his social network, Kichcha thanked Kapila Dev for a “classic piece” and added that he felt at the “top of the world”. For the uninitiated, the actor has been a big fan of cricket since childhood, and he also played sports at the university level.

On Sunday, June 26, Kichcha posted a picture of a bat on his Twitter, which was signed by the Indian World Cup team in 1983.

Meanwhile, the film Kabir Khan 83, capturing the victory of the Indian cricket team in the 1983 World Cup, was presented in Kannada by Sudeep’s Kichcha Creations. The sports drama of 2021 starred Ranveer Singh, Jiiva, Pankaj Tripathi, Tahir Raj Bhasin and Saqib Saleem, among others, while Deepika Padukone also appeared briefly.

On the job front, Kichcha is preparing for release Vikrant Rona. The film, directed by Anup Bhandari, plays Kichcha in the title role alongside Nirup Bhandari as Sanjeeva, Neethy Ashok as Aparny, Abhinay Raj Singh and Jacqueline Fernandez as Racquel D’Coasta. The trailer for the film came out a few days ago and aroused fans’ curiosity to see Sudeep in a fearless police officer avatar as he reveals the mystery of the missing people in the village.

Presented by Zee Studios and produced by Jack Manjunath through his Shalini Arts banner, Vikrant Rona will be released on July 28 in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi.
