Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha surpasses Bhool Bhulaiyya 2, Gangubai Kathiawadi’s overseas box office collection

Superstar Aamir Khan recently released movie Laal Singh Chaddha, which was one of the most anticipated films of 2022, failed to earn well at the domestic box office. The film opened to Rs 11.7 crore on its release in 3500 screens across the country. It managed to collect only Rs 55 crore in India.

But on the bright side, Aamir Laal Singh Chadha’s the international box office collection is quite impressive. It broke the records of Bollywood’s latest highest grossing films – Gangubai Kathiawadi, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and Kashmiri Writings. The film reportedly grossed $7.5 million overseas, leaving behind Alia Bhatt’s Gangubai Kathiawadi and Kartik Aaryan in the lead role.

According to a report from Bollywood HungaryThe film’s international box office collection currently stands at Rs 59 crore. While Aamir’s film has surpassed the overseas collection of post-pandemic Bollywood blockbusters, it is nowhere near SS Rajamouli’s total. RRR.

Additionally, Laal Singh Chadha’s the collection is yet to reach its massive budget of Rs 180 crore. The film’s total worldwide collection is currently Rs 125.99 crore.

Led by Advait Chandan, the film also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Mona Singh and Naga Chaitanya. While the film received mixed reactions in India and faced calls for a boycott, it seems to have made an impact with international audiences.

This was recently described by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS). Laal Singh Chadha as a “faithful” Indian adaptation Forrest Gump.
