However, on Thursday (August 25), Kapil took to Instagram, dropped the ‘hilarious’ promo and announced the official return date of the family show. As the video begins, we can see the actor-comedian in the hospital waking up and recognizing everyone around him. He remembered Chandan Prabhakar (Chandu) and Kiki Sharda (Gudiya) but could not recognize Sumona Chakravarti (he portrayed the role of his wife). Looking at her he said “Yeh behenji kaun hai?”
Then Srishty Rode, who will be playing the role of Gazal, entered the screen and after Kapil saw her, he got better and ran to her for a hug. He will become the newest addition to the family. When the jury Archana Puran Singh saw them together, she graces her presence and reproaches Kapil for forgetting his wife, but they all shared the official date and timing of the show together.
Sharing the post, Kapil wrote, “New season #thekapilsharmashow #comingsoon #tkss 10th September every Saturday and Sunday.”
However, recently during an interaction with an online portal, the talented comedian who was seen as Sapna confirmed that she will not be seen in the upcoming season. He revealed: “He’s not doing it, deal problems.”
