Comedian and actor Raju Srivastava he reportedly regained consciousness after being unconscious and on a ventilator for more than two weeks. News agency ANI reported on Thursday morning that the comedian, who was admitted to the All India Institute of Medican Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi after suffering a heart attack, has regained consciousness and doctors are monitoring his health.

Shikha Srivastava, Raju Srivastava’s wife, issued a statement later in the day giving an update on Raju’s health. She said, “Dear all well-wishers, Raju Srivastava Ji’s condition is stable and he continues to recover slowly. He is currently on a ventilator. Only the statements from the official social media accounts of AIIMS Delhi and Raju Ji are trustworthy and genuine. Any other reports or statements from anyone else are unreliable. The doctors and their entire team at AIIMS Delhi are working hard and diligently. We are grateful to them and all his supporters. Raju’s brother Dipoo Srivastava told indianexpress.com on Wednesday that his brother’s health is improving and “good news” is expected soon. He said, “Raju ji is stable, doctors are doing their best and treating him. I request his fans to pray for him, we are expecting some good news soon. The doctors said he would recover.”
Earlier, the comedian’s representative informed us that doctors are positive about his recovery. They said: “He is stable and the doctor is treating him well. But he is still unconscious. He is on a ventilator and doctors are monitoring him 24 hours a day. The doctors said he would recover, but it would take some time.”
Srivastava was admitted to AIIMS in New Delhi after he suffered a heart attack while running on a treadmill on August 10. He was unconscious and on a ventilator for more than two weeks. He underwent angioplasty on the day he was admitted.
