Indian all-rounder Jemimah Rodrigues will turn a year older on Monday, September 5.

Rodrigues has made a home in millions of hearts not only with her captivating performances but also with her hilarious posts on social media. Her birthday was no different as the versatile woman responded to a special note from Mumbai Indians in her inimitable style.

Mumbai Indians took to Twitter today to wish Jemimah Rodrigues on her special day with the message: “One of the most vibrant cricketers with immense talent. Happy birthday, Jemi”, followed by a cake and a heart emoji.

The all-rounder from Mumbai was quick to respond to the post and wrote, “Thank you! You guys better pick me up for women’s IPL… just saying”.

Not far behind, the Mumbai franchise wrote in Marathi, “What do you say paltan? We will do it?”

Apart from Mumbai Indians, former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra, BCCI Women and Punjab Kings also sent their best wishes to the Indian all-rounder.

This is not the only post from Rodrigues that amused users. Last month, she shared a meme of herself stretching her back leg to save herself from tripping. The position has drawn comparisons with Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni. The all-rounder quickly got the funny side of the story and shared the meme, poking fun at herself.

Rodrigues previously played for Northern Superchargers in The Hundred before being sidelined with a wrist injury. Fans are hoping that the star will be fit for India’s tour of England, which begins on September 10. Rodrigues was named in both the T20I and ODI squads.

Before The Hundred, Rodrigues played for the national team in the Birmingham Commonwealth Games 2022. The star all-rounder played a key role in the tournament, becoming the fifth highest run-scorer with 146 runs. India won the silver medal at the Commonwealth Games after losing to Australia in the final.
