Nothing seems to stop Shilpa Shetty from keeping fit. The gorgeous actress may be confined to a wheelchair after a leg injury, but that hasn’t stopped her from performing some yoga asanas and keeping fit. “Yoga se hi hoga” is the mantra that Shilpa Shetty swears by. She believes in channeling her dedication and hard work into her daily yoga routine. The actress constantly inspires her fans by posting fitness videos on her social network.
In a recent video, Shilpa, sitting on a chair, argues that one has to change one’s attitude towards a problem if one wants to find a solution. She pointed to her feet and asked, “What do you think is the solution to this problem?” and then quickly declares, “Yoga!”. She captioned the video: “Why should an injury stop me from enjoying a routine? And so I decided not to give it much attention.” She performed Tiryaka Tadasana and Gomukhasana seated in a wheelchair.
She also mentioned the benefits of the yoga asanas she was performing in the caption of her Instagram post. “Today’s yoga class involved a very simple and easy posture: Tiryaka Tadasana (Swaying Palm Pose). It stimulates bowel movements, provides a pleasant stretch to the sides and stretches the oblique muscles well, improving the flexibility of the spine.” Next came Gomukhasana (Cow Pose). “Not only does it improve your posture, but it also stretches your shoulders and triceps. It also helps open your chest and lungs. It’s also helpful when you have a frozen shoulder.”
The 47-year-old actress recently suffered an injury on the set of one of her upcoming projects. The actress announced the injury on her Instagram profile with a picture of her in a wheelchair with her injured leg resting on a platform. Along with the picture, she also mentioned, “They said, Roll camera action – ‘break a leg!'” I took it literally. Out of action for 6 weeks, but I’ll be back stronger and better soon. Until then, dua mein yaad rakhiyega, prayers always work. “
