Shark Tank India it soon became popular after it started in December last year. The show saw seven investors, aka Sharks, who heard different views from Indian entrepreneurs and later invested in their ventures after a fair assessment. As a Twitter user recently claimed that the show was not real, one of the Sharks, Namita Thapar, CEO of Emcure Pharmaceuticals Ltd, killed the user and gave a corresponding response.
Namita Thapar often talks about Shark Tank India on her social media handles. She recently wrote a note about the show and mentioned how it focuses on celebrating Indian entrepreneurs as well as teaching the masses about entrepreneurship and its concepts. Thapar wrote, “One person will not make or break the show… not me, no one… this show is about celebrating our entrepreneurs, job creators… it’s about teaching mass entrepreneurship concepts through beautiful stories of these nation builders… focus on it and hard work team.”

A Twitter user responded to the tweet and claimed that the show was not real. User wrote: “I have TRP bhi kuch hota hai…it’s a show, not a real investor motive!!” Thapar was seemingly upset by the Twitter user’s claim as she slammed him in her reply. Thapar mentioned that she invested her “real” money and said how easy it is to judge but not to give “time , energy, mentorship and money.” She wrote: “Are you serious? Because it’s my ‘real’ money I’m putting in.. what do you mean it’s not a real pitch?!! It’s easy to talk & whine and judge … hard to give time, energy, mentorship and money..” On the other hand, many users supported Thapar.

Thapar further tweeted, “Let’s see if authenticity and cause will win over … judgment and toxicity! What does New India really want from life?”
