Director Alphonse Puthren seems to have come under a lot of pressure to make an amazing film. The filmmaker has been in hibernation for more than seven years, working on his current project, which was named Gold. Looks like he wants to deliver a film that surpasses his last film Premam in every conceivable way. And to achieve a peak output, Alphonse took the time to complete Gold’s post-production. He even risked angering his fans and fans of Malayalam star Prithviraj. And finally, it seems that he is ready to release his film and release it in theaters.
“GOOD “…… waiting… too long for perfection… now it’s over….. Alphonse Putran and team congratulations DECEMBER RELEASE,” actor Baburaj recently posted on his Facebook page expressing his excitement about the film.
The buzz is that Alphonse is planning to release the film on December 2nd. However, the official word is still awaited. The gold was to come out during the Onam festival in September. However, the filmmaker delayed its release due to post-production reasons.
“We still have some work to do including CG, music coloring and a little patchwork. Once they are complete I will let you know the release date. Until then please forgive me bro. Onam was the date we released the film but the work was not completed. Nobody likes uncooked food. Being a chef, I decided to cook it properly and then serve it. I’m sorry I announced the release date and didn’t post it,” Alphonse Puthren wrote in response to a fan’s question on his Facebook page.
Gold stars Nayanthara as the female lead. Apart from playing the lead role, Prithviraj also financed the film. The film also stars Ajmal Ameer, Krishna Sankar, Shabareesh Varma, Chemban, Vinod Jose, Vinay Forrt and Roshan Mathew in supporting roles.
