HERE IT HAPPENED
For the uninitiated, a South Korean woman was harassed while walking back to her hotel. According to reports, two young men shouted at her on the road and tried to kiss her. The police have since arrested the two perpetrators.
In the videos of them going around, two youths are also seen accompanying the woman and getting rid of the men on the bike, thus protecting her.
Meanwhile, the woman had earlier retweeted the video and said that she tried not to escalate the situation as the accused was with another person.
“There was a guy on stream last night who harassed me. I tried my best not to escalate the situation and leave because he was with his friend. And some people said it was initiated by me being too friendly and engaging in conversation . It’s making me rethink streaming,” she said.
Based on the video, the police themselves registered a case of sexual assault. The accused have been identified as 19-year-old Mobeen Chand Mohd Shaikh and 20-year-old Mohd Naqib Sadarialam Ansari.
Meanwhile, the South Korean embassy has asked its citizens in India not to go out at night due to security concerns.
