The OTT scam has become the talk of the town as the names of many actors, writers and producers have been dragged into the allegations. One of them was Raj Saluja, who was arrested by the cyber police in Mumbai for his alleged involvement in the OTT scam. Raj Saluja is the author of Aditya Roy Kapur’s recent release Rashtra Kavach Om and the web series Shiksha Mandal. He was also the associate producer of Ayushmann Khurrana’s Dream Girl.
The OTT scam came into limelight after film producer Maan Singh filed an FIR for being duped by Rajat Moura. While Mourya continues to remain behind bars, Raj was immediately released on bail. He articulated the incident as a bombshell and stated that he was mistakenly drawn into this legal case. Defending himself, Raj Saluja said, “I deny the kind of allegations that have been leveled against me. It was between Rajat Moura and Maan Singh. I was the writer of a show that they were producing and during that I and Maan Singh decided to do another show. All the conditions we exchanged emails.’
Raj Saluja is confident that this case will not hold anything against him. He says: “I have my emails and everything in place, which clearly proves that I was just the author of his project. Putting my name out there was a clear intention to attract the attention of the media, because they knew that I had big projects. This is just a publicity stunt and I have done no wrong anywhere. This wrongdoing has destroyed the image I have earned for decades. There is no evidence of my involvement in anything Rajat did to Maan. The case will not stand up in court and we will do what the law dictates.”
Raj Saluja is yet to take legal action as he awaits the final bill. He also mentioned, “Notifying OTT scams was meant to grab attention and eyeballs; why else would the media print about some Maan Singh and Rajat Moury?’
