Director-producer Rohit Shetty revealed that he hasn’t taken a vacation in five years and also shared how ‘CID’ actress Ashwini Kalsekar helped out as a Marathi dialect coach in ‘Simmba’.
“My family usually goes on vacation, but I don’t have time because of my busy schedule,” he said. “But for me, my team is my family. I spend most of my time with them and I don’t regret it. And I believe that if someone doesn’t like coming back from vacation and thinks they have to go to work on a flight, then that’s a waste,” added the director ace
“For example, when you start enjoying your days at work, I woke up and knew I was going to be on ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ and it was going to be so much fun, you don’t feel the need to take a vacation because your job feels like that,” Shetty said.
Cast members of Shetty’s upcoming film ‘Circus’ — Ranveer SinghJacqueline Fernandez, Pooja Hegde, Varun Sharma, Ashwini Kalsekar, Sulabha Arya, Vrajesh Hirjee, Anil Charanjeet, Vijay Patkar, Siddharth Jadhav and Tiku Talsania – appeared on “The Kapil Sharma Show” to promote the film.
Expressing his gratitude to Ashwini for helping him with the Marathi accent in ‘Simmba’, Shetty said, “In ‘Simmba’, Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan played the characters of Maharashtra. Ashwini was there throughout the shoot to help both the actors with their Maharashtrian accent.”
He added: “She was like a dialogue director on the set, you could say like an assistant who worked with us the whole time.”
Ashwini responded by saying, “I am extremely pleased and excited that Rohit sir has given me this unique opportunity to work on ‘Simmba’.”
