Drishyam 2 toppled the lifetime earnings of Anupam Kher’s The Kashmir Files to become one of the biggest hits of 2022.
DRISHYAM 2 trumps KASHMIR FILES
As per the latest updates, Drishyam 2 has earned Rs 230.75 crore nett in India which equates to Rs 272.28 crore gross. Overseas, the film has grossed Rs 56.50 crore so far. Combining these numbers makes it a grand total of Rs 328.78 crore gross at the worldwide box office, which is more than The Kashmir Files’ lifetime collection of Rs 326.95 crore gross.
A while ago, film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to share about the business of Drishyam 2 and said that the film remains steady in theaters even in week 5. With the film earning Rs 104.66 crore in its opening week, Drishyam 2 has been steadily growing, with Rs 58.82 crore in its second week, Rs 32.82 crore in its third week and so on. The film has earned Rs 19.40 crore, Rs 8.98 crore and Rs 6.02 crore in the last three weeks, making the total gross of Drishyam 2 Rs 230.70 crore, making the film a box office hit.
