SS Rajamouli won Best Director for RRR at the NY Film Critics Circle Awards

SS Rajamouli won the Best Director award at the New York Film Critics Circle Awards 2022. In the video, he is seen accepting the award while the audience cheers loudly. After receiving the awards, Rajamouli thanked the jury and the audience for supporting his film. He also recalled seeing the faces of the audience during the release of the film.

In his speech, he said, “You made a lot of people take notice of a small film in the south of India. It was pure joy of wonder, like what the hell we just witnessed. That’s what I want my audience to feel.”
