The Secunderabad to Vijaywada Vande Bharat Express would be the eighth modern semi-high speed train to be launched by the Indian Railways. Vande Bharat Express trains are currently running on the following routes: New Delhi-Varanasi; New Delhi-Vaishno Devi Katra; New Delhi-Chandigarh-Una, Mumbai-Ahmedabad-Gandhinagar; Chennai-Bengaluru-Mysuru.
The latest Vande Bharat Express will connect the Secunderabad railway station in Telangana with Vijaywada in Andhra Pradesh.
Earlier news agency IANS reported that Secunderabad to Vijaywada Vande Bharat Express will be launched at the beginning of new year 2023. The new generation train with modern facilities will run from Secunderabad to Vijaywada via Kazipet.
The seventh last train of Vande Bharat was flagged off by PM Modi in West Bengal on the Howrah-New Jalpaiguri (NJP) route on December 30. It is the first such train to operate in the eastern state of West Bengal and the second premium train service after Shatabdi Express to run on the 560-Kilometer-Howrah NJP route.
Vande Bharat Express trains features
Vande Bharat Express trains have reclining seats in all classes, while the executive coaches have the added feature of 180-degree swivel seats. In addition, the express is equipped with automatic doors, GPS-based audio-visual passenger information system, on-board Wi-Fi hotspot for entertainment purposes, comfortable seating and other attractive features.
