Varisu vs Thunivu Box Office Collection Day 4: It is one of the biggest clashes in Tamil cinema as Vijay and Ajith come face to face with their respective Pongal films. Both the films exceeded expectations in terms of box office numbers. Both are earning in the double digits and serving up the right material to the audience during the festive season. However, it is Vijay who impresses the audience a bit more than Ajith.
Cash report of Varis vs Thunivu
By the time the last Bollywood film on the block, Kuttey, was playing Arjun Kapoor is trying to get audiences in theaters, Varis and Thuniva are doing well. The two are doing phenomenal business. According to the early box office predictions, while Ajith starter Thunivu has earned over 11 cr, Vijay has made it big with a stunning business of 17 cr. The total box office collections of both these films crossed 40 cr.
About Varis
Varisu is the story of a man who is the son of a business tycoon. Under adverse circumstances, he is forced to take over his father’s empire. Director Vamshi Paidipally, Hari and Ashishor Solomon jointly scripted the film. Rashmika Mandanna appeared as the female lead opposite Vijay. Apart from them, it also boasts of a stellar supporting cast including R Sarath Kumar, Prakash Raj, Jayasudha, Khushbu, Srikanth, Shaam, Yogi Babu and Sangeetha Krish. Producer Dil Raju backed the film under his banner Sri Venkateswara Creations. S Thaman composed the music for the film.
About Thuniva
In the action-thriller, Ajith Kumar plays a slightly villainous role and impressed the fans with it. Malayalam cinema star Manju Warrier essays the lead role while Samuthirakani, John Kokken, Veeran, Ajay and GM Sundar appear in pivotal roles. After the success of his last two films with H Vinoth, Ajith returns with him again with a promising film. Ghibran scored the music for Ajith for the first time in Thuniv while Nirav Shah handles the camera.
