Kubbra Sait, who rose to fame playing Kukoo in Sacred Games, made her first screen appearance in salman khan movie and in a recent interview, Kubbra recalled her experience working in the 2011 film Ready. Kubbra played the role of a domestic help in the film and speaking to Faye D’Souza for her YouTube channel, she recalled that Salman arrived on set at 2:45 p.m. , when the entire crew had been waiting for him since morning.
Kubbra said she would leave the hotel at 5:30 with only one apple. “Did I say breakfast? They said an apple, they threw an apple in my face. I asked for one more and they threw another apple in my face. They said we would start shooting at 10. That was at 11, 11 turned into 12,” she recalled.
After waiting several hours, Kubbra recalled that the noise started around 2:45 p.m. “You know someone important has come. The important person is the hero of the film. They all pull down their pants and as if we’re going to do some work and emerge Salman Khan. We shot on the golf course so it’s visual. There are these big massive life-size windows and Salman Khan comes in, arches his back, moves his head to both sides and says ‘Lunch break karein?'”
Kubbra laughed and remembered how she had just eaten apple they had no work from morning until about 3:00 p.m. “Idhar main ek apple khaya hai subah se. Kaam bhi kar lete hain na (I only had one apple since morning. Maybe we should work.) But no, we had lunch,” she said.
The Foundation actor then highlighted the positive aspects of working with Salman and talked about his welcoming nature. “Always look for the positive. This man would always bring every actor on that set to the big dining room table and everyone would eat with him. So I feel like breaking bread with someone becomes the most forgiving act ever,” she said.
Later, Kubbra worked with Salman in Sultan as well.
