“MasterChef India” judge Garim Arora challenged the contestants to prepare a dish “not fusion but innovation”.
Along with their co-judges Ranveer Brar and Vikas Khanna, they took the contestants to Goa and asked them to prepare dishes using given items like potatoes, tomatoes, guava and other common items. However, they want the dish to be exotic and innovative.
In fact, it was not easy for them to think and make something different with these ingredients. Contestant Priya Vijan thought of how to impress the judges with her dish prepared based on the concept of taste, innovation and presentation.
Chef Garima said, “I don’t want to see fusion, confusion, but innovation should be seen on your plate.”
Although the judges were not impressed with the attempts of the contestants, it remains to be seen if Priya can impress them with her innovative idea and a dish that is made mostly of guava. So she finally decided to prepare Potato Pave with Guava Chilli Gel.
She shared, “It was such a new and fun experience to cook outside ‘Masterchef India’s’ kitchen. I tried my best to excel in all the three parameters of TIP (taste, innovation and presentation) and I hope the judges like my food. .”
“For this dish, I really had to choose from my gray cells because we had to do something very different with ingredients that are common. This challenged my inner chef and I threw myself into thinking about food and how to bring innovation to food .” ” she added.
‘MasterChef India’ airs on Sony Entertainment Television.
