The eight-part series, which will air on Prime Video, marks the digital debut of Shetty and Malhotra. The actor from “Mission Majnu” announced the end of the project on Twitter.
”That’s a wrap! What a pleasure it was to work with #RohitShetty sir! Can’t wait for you to witness an action packed series like no other. It has an incredibly hardworking, honest and warm team.
”I can say it was one of my best experiences on the sets of #IndianPoliceForce. Thank you to the entire cast and crew for this amazing journey. I am really excited to bring you the Indian Police soon. @PrimeVideoIN @PrimeVideo,” Malhotra captioned a photo with the team behind the show. The series is part of Shetty’s already successful cop universe comprising four blockbusters – ‘Singham’ and ‘Singham 2’ starring Ajay Devgn, Ranveer Singh starrer ‘Simmba’ and Akshay Kumar-led ‘Sooryavanshi’.
According to the creators, it is an ode to the selfless service, unconditional commitment and fierce patriotism of police officers across the country who give their all in the line of duty to keep everyone safe.
Malhotra describes the role of a police officer in Delhi. Actors Shilpa Shetty, Vivek Oberoi also play cops.
